Weekly Web Scrapping 11 – Graduation Hat
As mentioned in the Project of the Week, graduation is just around the corner. Time to start preparing. What is more iconic to graduation then a good old graduation cap. Here is my tribute to the 2012 Graduates. ConGRADulations!

Project of the Week 7 – Completed
With two graduations coming up, my sister and my brother in law, I took this week to make graduation cards. They both have the same image I googled of a firework with a quote by Edward Koch: “The fireworks begin today. Each diploma is a lighted match. Each one of you is a fuse.”. We have this joke that they will take over the world (kind of like Pinky and the Brain) so the inside reminds them to “Light a fire of knowledge, not of flames!” I used Scrapbook Steals layouts to help me decide where to put the embellishments, and both cards used one sticker pack.
Scrapbook Steals – Monday Card Madness 80
This is one of the graduation cards I made using the layout from Monday Card Madness # 80. The image is from a Google search of Fireworks. I used the “Congratulations Grad” stickers to shape the image and added an image of a “university” for decoration. On the inside is a gemmed 2012.
Outside Quote: The fireworks begin today. Each diploma is a lighted match. Each one of you is a fuse. – Edward Koch
Inside Quote: Light a fire of knowledge, not of flames!
Scrapbook Steals Monday Card Madness # 81
This is one of the graduation cards I made using the layout from Monday Card Madness # 81. The image is from a Google search of Fireworks. I used the graduation flag for the pendant and the cap in the corner, hanging off the page a little so that the cap is on an angle in the corner. On the inside is a gemmed 2012, and a ribbon.
Outside Quote: The fireworks begin today. Each diploma is a lighted match. Each one of you is a fuse. – Edward Koch
Inside Quote: Light a fire of knowledge, not of flames!

Instructables Elementary Art Contest Winner
Just thought I’d share in my excitement of winning the Instructables Elementary Art contest with my guide to Integrating Art and Music into Other Disciplines. I hope you find this guide as useful to integrating art to other parts of your classroom, as I did while making it.
Thank you to wilgubeast for hosting the education contests!
